Job description for a construction worker

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable construction worker for our team. You participate in many construction projects and follow the construction plans and instructions from the construction manager. Although no experience is required, you need to be physically fit and learn quickly.

To be successful in this job, you work well as a team, enjoy working outdoors and be able to perform difficult physical tasks.

Construction workers’ responsibilities:

Prepare construction sites, materials and tools.
Loading and unloading of materials, tools and equipment.
Removal of dirt, debris and hazardous materials from places.
Construction and dismantling of barricades, temporary structures and scaffolding.
Entrepreneurial support, e.g. Electricians and painters as needed.
Assistance for transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
Traffic regulation and road signs.
Follow all health and safety requirements.
Excavation of holes, tunnels and wells.
Mix, pour and level the concrete.

Workplace requirements for construction workers:

No formal qualification is required, although a high school may be preferred.
Similar work experience may be helpful.
Permission to work with hazardous materials may be required.
Willingness to participate in training if necessary.
Be gentle and a team player.
Be healthy, strong and in good shape.
