About Farm:
Our clients’ business is a 1,500 hectare farm in the beautiful countryside of Northern Portugal. The farm consists of fields, cattle, nuts, apples and forestry.
Your Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to notice a changing, growing and diverse farm. You report to both the farm owner and the farm manager. A successful graduate not only has the necessary practical experience but must be eager to learn, be motivated and passionate about his work.
The successful candidate is preferably an early stage farm manager (assistant), most interested in organic produce, and is primarily responsible for the daily running of the nut garden. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to perform general agricultural maintenance duties, including the maintenance and renovation of buildings.
This position is open worldwide to graduates with relevant experience.
Candidate:
- Early farm manager (assistant) or general farm worker looking for the next step up the career ladder.
- Experience in treating nuts; perfectly almonds and hazelnuts.
- Experience with organic products is an advantage.
- Can perform general farm maintenance, including building maintenance.
- Agriculture enthusiast and enthusiast.
- Knowledge of Portuguese will be an advantage.
- Animal husbandry, experience with other crops and forestry would be an advantage.
